About RoadMento

Your one-stop world travel guide

Why We Built This

Every time we planned an overseas trip, we hit the same walls — searching English wikis for attractions, combing Korean blogs for reviews, opening a separate FX calculator, checking visa info on government sites, and hunting for hotels on yet another tab. There was no single place that gathered everything a Korean traveler truly needs: visa rules for Korean passports, budgets in KRW, direct-flight availability from Korea. RoadMento started as a solo side project to fix that.

What We Offer

  • Travel guides for 52+ countries — City-by-city attractions, local food, transport tips, daily budgets (USD on English pages), visa info and safety notes, all in Korean and English.
  • Live exchange rates — Daily-updated rates for major currencies (USD, JPY, EUR, GBP, CNY, THB and more) sourced from ECB / Bank of Korea.
  • Travel advisory alerts — Country pages display Korean MOFA safety levels (caution / advisory / ban).

Content Principles

  • Attraction and food guides are written by the operator or first-hand contributors.
  • We never copy-paste text from Wikipedia or other blogs.
  • General data like flags and statistics come from REST Countries (public API) with attribution.
  • Variable info (admission fees, hours) is reviewed regularly. Found an error? Drop us an email.

About the Operator

  • Operator: Solo side project (individual)
  • Domain: roadmento.com (launched 2026)
  • Hosting: Self-hosted server (Korea data center)
