Overview
Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, on the southern bank of Dubai Creek in Bur Dubai, is Dubai's oldest preserved quarter, filled with traditional wind-tower (barjeel) houses, narrow alleyways, galleries, and craft workshops. Entry to the district itself is free, though certain sites within it, such as the Dubai Museum, charge separate admission. It is walkable from Al Fahidi or Al Ghubaiba metro stations on the Green Line, and many visitors also arrive by traditional abra water taxi across the creek from Deira.
