Overview
Opened in 1999, Burj Al Arab is a 321m-tall sail-shaped ultra-luxury hotel and one of Dubai's most iconic landmarks. Built on an artificial island, its interior is lavishly decorated with gold leaf and marble. Non-guests can enter by booking a restaurant or afternoon tea. Enjoying cocktails while watching the Persian Gulf sunset from the Skyview Bar is a signature experience. The exterior can be admired for free from nearby Jumeirah Public Beach. Afternoon tea from about AED 600. About 10 minutes by taxi from Mall of the Emirates metro station.
