Overview
Hyangiram is a hermitage on the cliffs of Geumosan at the southern tip of Dolsan Island; true to its name, 'the hermitage facing the sun,' it is one of Korea's premier sunrise spots. The South Sea and sunrise seen from the end of the steep path threading between rocks are spectacular, and it's famous for New Year sunrise viewing. Adult admission is around KRW 2,000, with hours generally 07:00-19:00 (seasonal, adjusted to sunrise times). It's about 40 minutes south of central Yeosu by car.
