Overview
Fort Siloso, built by the British in the 1880s at the western tip of Sentosa Island to defend Singapore's seaward approach, is the only fully preserved coastal fortress in the country. It was a battleground during the 1942 Japanese invasion (Malayan Campaign) of WWII, and today operates as a free open-air history museum where you can explore massive coastal guns, underground ammunition rooms, British barracks, and a Japanese Occupation gallery. The 11-story Fort Siloso Skywalk at the entrance offers views over the cable car, harbor, and main island, while life-size soldier figures and interactive displays bring the history to life. Free admission. About a 5-minute walk from Siloso Point beach-tram station.
Opening Hours
