Overview
Xingqing Palace Park occupies the former grounds of Xingqing Palace, where Tang Emperor Xuanzong lived before his enthronement and later handled state affairs. Left in ruins after the An Lushan Rebellion, the site was reborn as a public park in 1958, now centered on Xingqing Lake and pavilions recreating Tang-era architecture such as the Chenxiang Pavilion. Visitors can rent pedal boats (CNY 120 for 40 minutes) or electric boats to cruise the lake. Free admission, open year-round. A 6-minute walk from Exit A of Jiaotong University-Xingqing Palace Station (Metro Line 6).
