Overview
Designed by architect Piet Blom in 1984, these 38 cube-shaped homes are each tilted 45 degrees to form a 'forest' of tree-like structures. People actually live here, and one unit — the Show Cube (Kijk-Kubus) — is open to the public, letting visitors experience life inside a tilted space. Together with the Markthal and the Old Harbor, they make up Rotterdam's signature architectural trio. Show Cube admission about EUR 3. 2-minute walk from Blaak metro station.
Travel Tips
Step inside the Show Cube to feel what tilted living is like. The Markthal is right next door, so combine both visits.
