Overview
Built between 1321 and 1382, this 112.32m Gothic tower is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands. Climb 465 steps to the top for views over Utrecht and, on clear days, as far as Amsterdam. Originally attached to St. Martin's Cathedral, the nave collapsed in a 1674 hurricane, leaving the tower standing independently — a unique sight. Entry is by guided tour only, and you can hear the carillon's 14 bells chime. Guided tour about EUR 12 (advance booking recommended). About 10 minutes on foot from Utrecht Centraal station.
