Overview
Created in the 16th century, this cobblestone-paved small square is the heart and most charming spot of Malmö's old town. Colorful 17th- and 18th-century wooden buildings surround the square, housing cafes, restaurants, bars, and boutiques. The summer cafe terraces are always lively, and the small fountain and lanterns create a magical atmosphere especially in the evening. Together with the adjacent Stortorget (Big Square), it forms the core of old Malmö. Free to wander. 10-minute walk from Malmö Central Station.
