Overview
Opened in 2009 as the Malmö branch of Stockholm's Moderna Museet, it occupies a striking early-1900s power station (Rooseum). The red brick exterior of the old power station contrasts beautifully with the bright orange façade of the new wing, while inside, vast white-cube galleries showcase art. Rotating exhibitions span masters like Picasso, Matisse, and Duchamp to contemporary Scandinavian art. Cafe and design shop on-site. Free admission. 10-minute walk from Malmö Central Station.
