Overview
Built in 2012 on the southeast coast's hillside, the island's largest pagoda terraces down toward the sea: through the gate and up the stairs stand the jade Buddha hall and Quan Am statue, mountains behind, open horizon ahead. Facing due east, it's the island's premier sunrise spot — and on quiet weekday mornings, all you hear is surf. It caps the southeastern coastal drive from Sao Beach and the prison.
