Overview
Founded in 1853, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is the Southern Hemisphere's largest sports stadium, seating over 100,000. It served as the main venue for the 1956 Melbourne Olympics and hosts Australia's biggest sporting events, including the Boxing Day Test and the AFL Grand Final. On non-match days, guided tours take you through player locker rooms, VIP lounges, and the grounds, and the National Sports Museum is located inside the stadium.
