Overview
Set inside a 400-million-year-old limestone cave, Batu Caves is one of KL's most striking attractions. The entrance features a 42.7 m golden Murugan statue and 272 steep, rainbow-painted steps. Inside, daylight filters into a vast cavern filled with Hindu shrines and statues. During the Thaipusam festival each January-February, more than a million Hindu devotees make the pilgrimage. Free admission. Directly at KTM Komuter Batu Caves Station.
