The Bund
The Bund stretches roughly 1.5km along the west bank of the Huangpu River, lined with 52 grand Western-style buildings. Built after Shanghai's port opened in 1843, the neoclassical, Art Deco, and Baroque architecture earned this strip its 'Wall Street of the East' nickname. At night, the dazzling lights of Pudong's Oriental Pearl Tower and skyscrapers across the river create a magical skyline. Free to stroll. A 10-minute walk from Nanjing East Road Station (Metro Lines 2 and 10).
