Overview
Created in 1559 by Ming-dynasty official Pan Yunduan as a gift for his father, Yu Garden is a classical Chinese garden hidden in Shanghai's busy center. Across two hectares, ornate dragon walls, ponds, pavilions, and quirky rock formations come together in harmony. The surrounding Yuyuan Bazaar sells traditional crafts and snacks, and the view of the pond from the historic Huxinting Teahouse feels like another world within the city. Admission CNY 40. Metro Line 10, Yuyuan Station, Exit 1.
Opening Hours
