Overview
Named after Napoleonic general André Masséna, this central square is defined by Italian-style ochre-red buildings and a black-and-white checkerboard marble floor. Seven illuminated statue columns representing the Kingdom of Sardinia line the square, glowing with colored light after dark. It also serves as the main stage for the Nice Carnival and other festivals. Free and always open. Right in front of Tram 1's Masséna stop.
