Built between 1905 and 1912 by Béatrice Ephrussi, heiress to the Rothschild banking dynasty, this Italian-inspired Belle Époque villa crowns a hilltop on Cap Ferrat overlooking the Mediterranean. Nine themed gardens — French, Spanish, Japanese, and more — surround the house. Inside, an extensive art collection of Sèvres porcelain, tapestries, and paintings awaits, and the garden fountains perform a musical water show on the hour. Admission about EUR 16. About 20 minutes from Nice by bus 15 or car.
