Overview

Woryeonggyo is a roughly 387m wooden pedestrian bridge across Andong Lake, carrying the poignant love story of a Joseon-era couple - a widow who wove sandals from her hair in memory of her late husband. At night the bridge is lit and a fountain show unfolds around the central Woryeongjeong pavilion, making it Andong's top night-view spot. As an open-air site, admission is free and it is always accessible. Great as an evening stroll combined with the nearby Andong Folk Village.
