Gyeongpo Beach is Gangneung's flagship beach, with about 1.8km of wide white sand and gentle depths. In summer it buzzes with swimmers, and year-round people stroll and cycle along the shore. Cafes, raw-fish restaurants, and lodgings cluster along the beach for great convenience. Admission is free and it is always open, easy to combine with nearby Gyeongpodae and Gyeongpo Lake.
