Overview
Founded in 1877, Mack Brewery is the world's northernmost brewery, and 'Mack øl' is a point of Tromsø pride. Brewery tours let you watch the brewing process and taste different beers brewed in the rough nature of Northern Norway. The adjacent Ølhallen (Beer Hall), the city's oldest pub, has been operating since 1928 and offers casual tastings of dozens of beers. Brewery tour about NOK 200. 15-minute walk from city center.
