Overview
Opened in 1874, Gothenburg's iconic fish market is nicknamed 'Feskekôrka' (Fish Church) because of its Gothic church-like exterior. Though not a religious building, its striking architecture makes it one of Gothenburg's most photographed spots. Inside, fresh oysters, shrimp, salmon, mackerel, and more — caught in the west-coast archipelago — are sold, and small upstairs and downstairs restaurants serve freshly prepared seafood. Market free, meals separate. Trams 1/9/11 to Hagakyrkan stop.
Opening Hours
Mon-Thu 10:00-17:00; Fri 10:00-18:00; Sat 10:00-15:00 (closed Sundays).
Travel Tips
