Overview
Completed in 1883, the 1,825m Brooklyn Bridge was the world's longest suspension bridge at the time and America's first steel-cable suspension bridge. The pedestrian walkway takes 30-40 minutes to cross, with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, East River, and Statue of Liberty - one of NYC's best free experiences. At sunset the city glows gold, and the DUMBO neighborhood across the bridge offers iconic photo spots. Free. Subway: Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall (4/5/6/J/Z) or High St (A/C).
