Overview
This 13km peninsula northeast of the city — nicknamed Monkey Mountain — shelters some 1,300 endangered red-shanked douc langurs in old-growth forest. The cliff road alternates emerald sea and city views, with lucky sightings of langur families overhead; highlights include the summit helipad lookout, a thousand-year banyan and the InterContinental viewpoint. Grades are steep — skip the scooter unless experienced and hire a car instead.
