Overview
Opened in 1914, Ben Thanh is Ho Chi Minh City's defining traditional market and a symbolic city landmark. About 1,500 stalls sell ingredients, clothing, souvenirs, and handicrafts in a buzzing atmosphere. The food court inside serves Vietnamese dishes at low prices, and at night a separate night market opens around the building for another round of fun. Free admission (including night market). Central District 1, right next to Ben Thanh Bus Terminal.
