Overview
Bui Vien Walking Street in the Pham Ngu Lao backpacker district of District 1 is Ho Chi Minh City's biggest nightlife strip, stretching about 850 m. Since 2017 it has become a pedestrian-only zone every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening (19:00-02:00), with live-music bars, clubs, sidewalk pubs, and street-food stalls lining both sides. Vietnamese beers (Saigon or 333) go for just VND 15,000-25,000, and live bands, fire shows, and balloon tricks keep the street buzzing. It's the spot to feel Saigon's pulse most intensely. Free to enter. About a 10-minute walk from Ben Thanh Market in District 1.
