Overview
The Blue Mountains, about 100km west of Sydney, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site where vast eucalyptus forests release a blue haze that gives the range its name. The Three Sisters, the most famous landmark, can be viewed from Echo Point lookout, accompanied by an Aboriginal legend. Scenic World offers the world's steepest incline railway (52 degrees) and a cable car. Well-maintained bushwalking trails make it ideal for hiking in nature.
