Overview
St Mary's Cathedral was first built as a small chapel in 1821, later destroyed by fire, then rebuilt from 1866 with the main nave completed in 1928. Entry to the cathedral, aside from the crypt, is free, though voluntary donations toward its upkeep are welcomed. It's open weekdays from 6:30am to 6:30pm, though access may be limited during Mass. It sits right beside Hyde Park, a 5-minute walk from St James Station.
