Overview
Taronga Zoo sits on a hillside overlooking Sydney Harbour and houses over 4,000 animals across 350+ species. You can see Australian natives like koalas, kangaroos, and platypuses alongside elephants, giraffes, and chimpanzees from around the world. The harbour and Opera House views from the zoo are unlike anything at any other zoo on earth. A 12-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay gets you there, and the Sky Safari cable car offers aerial views as you move through the grounds.
