Grand Place
Brussels's central square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that Victor Hugo praised as 'the most beautiful square in the world.' It's framed by the 15th-century Gothic Town Hall, the King's House (Brussels City Museum), and Baroque guild houses. Every two years in August, the Flower Carpet festival covers the entire square in begonias, and the illuminated square at night is especially striking. Square free to visit. 5-minute walk from Metro Lines 1/5 Gare Centrale station.
