At 2,168m, Grindelwald First is reached by a 25-minute gondola ride and greets visitors with a dramatic head-on view of the Eiger North Face. The 'First Cliff Walk,' a glass-and-steel walkway suspended over a sheer drop of several hundred meters, delivers pure adrenaline. Adventure activities include the First Flyer zip line, mountain carts, and trottibikes. The hike to Lake Bachalpsee (about 2 hours round trip) is one of Switzerland's most picturesque.
