Overview
Sitting on the pass between the Eiger and the Lauberhorn, Kleine Scheidegg is the transfer station where the Wengernalp Railway (linking Wengen and Grindelwald) meets the Jungfrau Railway bound for Jungfraujoch. This historic rail junction, opened in 1892, offers one of the closest views of the Eiger's north face, and its wildflower meadows make for popular summer hiking. There's no separate admission fee, simply take the train from Wengen or Grindelwald and explore the surroundings for free.
