A tradition dating back to 1703, this Sunday-morning market opens at 05:00 (07:00 in winter) and draws around 70,000 visitors each week. Lively auctioneers hawk fish, fruit, flowers, and souvenirs, while visitors snack on fish rolls (Fischbrötchen) and soak in the morning Elbe waterfront. The classic Hamburg weekend move is partying on the Reeperbahn Saturday night and rolling straight into the Fish Market at dawn. Free entry. About 10 minutes on foot from S-Bahn Reeperbahn station.
