Overview
Housed in a Speicherstadt warehouse, this is the world's largest model railway — 16km of track running about 1,040 trains across a 1,610㎡ area, with more than 280,000 miniature figurines. Nine themed sections recreate Hamburg, Bavaria, the US (Las Vegas), Italy, Scandinavia, and even a working miniature airport where planes and helicopters actually take off and land. Lighting cycles between day and night every 15 minutes for an enchanting effect. It's Hamburg's top family attraction — equally captivating for adults and children. Admission about EUR 20 (advance online booking strongly recommended). 5-minute walk from U-Bahn Meßberg (Line 1).
