Overview
Spread across 12.5 hectares of dense tropical forest, the Ubud Monkey Forest shelters over 700 Balinese long-tailed macaques. Three Hindu temples lie hidden among moss-covered statues and towering banyan trees, creating a mystical mood. The monkeys are used to people and may come close, but they will also snatch belongings, so stay alert. Admission IDR 80,000. A 10-minute walk from central Ubud.
