Overview
Built in 1410 to enshrine the portrait of Joseon's founding king Taejo (Yi Seong-gye), Gyeonggijeon is a leading historic site within the Jeonju Hanok Village. Lush bamboo groves, quiet stone-wall paths, and traditional architecture make it a popular photo spot, and you can also see the Jeonju Sago archive that once held the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty. Adult admission is around KRW 3,000, with hours generally 09:00-18:00 (until 19:00 in summer). It faces Jeondong Cathedral across the street for an easy combined visit.
