Overview
Omokdae is a pavilion on the eastern hill of the Jeonju Hanok Village, said to be where King Taejo (Yi Seong-gye) celebrated a victory after repelling Japanese raiders. Climbing to the pavilion offers a sweeping view of the village's layered tiled roofs, making it a top vantage point. As an open-air site, admission is free and it can be visited anytime. Connected from the village by stairs and a skywalk, it makes a fine stroll and is also popular for night views.
