Overview
Built in the 14th-century Hanseatic era, this row of wooden buildings is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Brightly painted gabled houses line the harbor and have preserved their medieval form through several fires. Narrow alleyways behind the facades hide workshops, galleries, and souvenir shops, while the Hanseatic Museum brings the lives of medieval merchants to life. It's one of the most photographed spots in all of Norway. Free to explore (Hanseatic Museum about NOK 150). Right at Bybanen Bryggen stop.
Opening Hours
