Overview
Designated Nepal's first national park in 1973 and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Chitwan covers about 952 square kilometers. It is home to roughly 700 endangered Indian rhinos and 100 Bengal tigers. Visitors can enjoy jungle safaris, canoe trips, and birdwatching, with more than 500 bird species making it a true paradise for birders. Park admission NPR 2,000/day for foreigners. Enter from Sauraha.
