Overview
Sarangkot, at 1,592 m above sea level, is Pokhara's premier vantage point. From here, the sun rises over the Annapurna range, Machapuchare (6,993 m), and Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), painting the snowy peaks a deep red - a defining moment of any Nepal trip. It's also a popular paragliding launch site. About 30 minutes by taxi from Pokhara's center. Admission NPR 50. About 30 minutes by taxi from Lakeside (about NPR 1,000-1,500).
