Overview
The World Peace Pagoda crowns Ananda Hill (1,113 m), one of about 80 peace pagodas built worldwide by the Japanese Nipponzan-Myohoji order. From its terrace, Phewa Lake, downtown Pokhara, and the Annapurna range stretch out together. The classic visit combines a boat ride across the lake with a hike up, and the serene atmosphere makes it perfect for meditation. Admission NPR 50. Reach by boat across Phewa Lake plus a 1-hour hike.
