Overview
Długi Targ (the Long Market) is the centre of Gdańsk's old town, with colourful Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings lining both sides. The Royal Way runs through it from the Golden Gate to the Green Gate, past Neptune's Fountain and Artus Court. Completely destroyed in WWII, it was rebuilt to its original appearance, and the amber shops here are particularly renowned. The square is breathtaking when lit at night.
