Overview
Dating from a 12th-century Cistercian monastery, Oliwa Cathedral in northern Gdańsk's Oliwa district has a 107m-long interior making it one of Poland's longest churches. The star attraction is the 18th-century Rococo pipe organ with 7,876 pipes — when played, its decorative angels and stars move in a mesmerising mechanical display. Daily 20-minute organ recitals take place at noon during summer, offering a free and deeply moving musical experience. Free entry. 10-minute walk from SKM Gdańsk Oliwa station.
