Overview
A 76-hectare royal park in central Warsaw, laid out as a summer residence by Poland's last king, Stanisław August, in the 18th century. The Palace on the Isle, seemingly floating on its lake, is the star attraction, and free Chopin piano recitals take place every Sunday (May–September) at the Chopin monument near the entrance. Peacocks and squirrels roam freely, and the park also holds an amphitheatre, an orangery, and the Old Guard House — perfect for a half-day stroll. Park entry is free; palace admission about PLN 25 (EUR 6). 10-minute walk from Metro M1 Politechnika station.
Opening Hours
Park 06:00-21:00 (varies seasonally); Palace 10:00-18:00 (closed Mondays)
Travel Tips
Don't miss the free Chopin concerts at noon and 4 PM every Sunday from May to September. In summer you can rent a boat and admire the palace from the lake.
