Overview
This museum commemorates the 63-day Warsaw Uprising launched by the Polish Underground on 1 August 1944 against Nazi occupation. Interactive exhibits, a full-scale recreation of the sewer tunnels used by resistance fighters, and 3D films bring the uprising's history vividly to life. Around 200,000 Polish civilians died in the tragedy, and the museum honours their fight for freedom — widely regarded as Poland's most moving museum.
