Overview
Built in 18th-century Baroque style, Stockholm Royal Palace is one of the world's largest royal residences with 600+ rooms, serving as the Swedish royal family's official seat. Located at the north end of Gamla Stan, it houses five museums: the Royal Apartments, the Treasury (crown jewels), the Tre Kronor Museum (medieval palace ruins), and the Gustav III Museum of Antiquities. The daily noon changing of the guard with full military band is a highlight. Combined admission about SEK 200. 5-minute walk from Metro Gamla Stan station.
