Overview
The Vasa Museum is the only one of its kind: it houses the salvaged warship Vasa, which sank just 1.3km into its maiden voyage in 1628. After 333 years on the seabed, the ship survives over 98% intact, and 700 ornate wooden carvings testify to Sweden's 17th-century naval power. The 69m hull can be viewed from six levels and varied angles. It is Sweden's most-visited museum. Admission about SEK 190 (EUR 17). Tram 7 or Bus 67 to Nordiska museet/Vasamuseet stop.
