Overview
Donated to the city in 2002 by architect Eduardo Catalano, this 20-meter, 18-ton flower sculpture is made of aluminum and stainless steel. It sits in Plaza Naciones Unidas (United Nations Square) and there is no admission fee. Sensors open the petals each morning and close them at night, except on special dates like May 25 and September 21 when it stays open overnight. It's located at Av. Figueroa Alcorta 2301, near Facultad de Derecho station on subway Line H, and easy to combine with a visit to the nearby law school and fine arts museum.
