Overview
Built in 1920, this 11-meter lighthouse stands on one of five small islets about 9 km east of Ushuaia in the Beagle Channel. Interior visits aren't permitted, but Beagle Channel boat tours (around ARS 35,000-50,000 per person) sail close by, also passing a nearby sea lion colony. Though popularly linked to Jules Verne's novel, the actual inspiration was a different, more remote lighthouse.
