Overview
The End of the World Train (Tren del Fin del Mundo) is a heritage railway restored along the route once used by prisoners from Ushuaia's penal colony for logging in the early 20th century. A narrow-gauge steam locomotive runs about 7km through sub-Antarctic forest, past waterfalls and rivers, to the entrance of Tierra del Fuego National Park. Onboard narration is provided in Spanish and English, with a stop at Macarena Waterfall. It's a unique way to experience Argentina's penal colony history. Tourist class about ARS 20,000. About 8km west of Ushuaia.
