Overview
Austrian Expressionist master Egon Schiele's mother hailed from Český Krumlov, and Schiele himself drew great inspiration from the town. Housed in a converted 16th-century brewery, the center displays Schiele's drawings and paintings alongside rotating contemporary art exhibitions. A hidden gem of Czech modern art, it offers a more intimate viewing experience than Prague's larger galleries. Admission about CZK 200. 3-minute walk from the Old Town square.
Opening Hours
10:00-18:00 (open daily).
Travel Tips
Rotating exhibitions change frequently, so check the website before visiting. The center is compact — about an hour is enough.
